No brake pressure when car is on?
Yesterday I was driving and lost brake pressure. I wasn't far from home so I drove back home using the engine to brake the car. Once home I got under the car to notice that my passenger tire hose had rotted and was the cause of the problem. Note: I never lost all brake fluid though I did get the check brake fluid light and stability program disengaged.
I went to the local advanced auto and got a new brake line and put it on. This evening I bled the brake caliper (inner bleeder screw first, followed by outer). Though I get good brake pressure when the vehicle is off, I lose it when the vehicle turns on. I have since bled the passenger rear, driver rear and am about to rear bleed the passenger front again, followed by driver front.
Is there something else that I am missing? I read the FAQ but didnt see anything about this. I'm assuming there is still just a little air in the lines and as I finish bleeding than it will firm up? Brake booster adding pressure once the vehicle is turned on?
TIA

Fluid is good and now clear (new fluid) no squatting that I can see. I have one more wheel to go but I am not confident that it will be good after this. May just tow it tomorrow.

Im bleeding them again right now. Just finished the backs. I started the car a few times the first time around, not going to do it at all now. Luckily, The g.f is being a good sport and pumping the brakes for me lol Guess my Valentines surprise yesterday is paying off today

BTW, I bled all 4 wheels x2 and it was good after that. The pedal was still very low but I gave it a test drive just to see if I could get it to a repair shop and as a drove it got a tad bit better. When I got in the car this morning everything was perfectly good (pressure wise). Thanks for the aid fellas. First time I ever had a PITA brake change.
