Clean car. How much did they give you for trade in value?

What did you buy?

$20K due to "moderate damage" reported on CARFAX. I had a single car accident in 11/2009. Was getting on an on ramp to I-77 north bound, clover leaf was a down hill U-turn like ramp. it had been drizzling all day. When I hit the bottom of the ramp (at 20-25mph), the rear end swung out and pointed me straight at the guard rail so the front of the car hit it. I'm thinking the road oil settled in that area that caused the rearend to slide out. Thats where all the damage occurred, $14K damage, the headlights alone were $995 each to replace just to give you an idea. Active handling kicked in but I was already pointed at the guard rail. Still had the original GY RSAs on it. It now has brand new Conti DWs on it plus a mounted RSA sitting in the trunk. This happened 3 years ago and I never had any issues with the repair job.

I traded it in on a fully loaded 2013 Lacrosse Touring ($42.5K). Original plan was to sell the the Vette/CTS-V for a new C7 Z51 later this year but the Lacrosse is one sweet car, all the latest electronics, 304hp, better gas mileage, and an awesome interior... and I still can haul co-workers to lunch. and I still have my 2000 Vette but that C7 is still in the back of my mind ;-)

Ya gotta factor in how much they were making off the sale. They're looking to make a set profit, and can either shave off the sale price, or bump the trade-in value. Guys who are attached to their cars usually get the trade-in value bumped.
