Default service airbag soon

So I had a few friends in the car this weekend and everything was fine... Yesterday me and the gf were going out to dinner and the service airbag light kept coming on and off, at least 10times. And each time it'd turn off by itself a few seconds later. Drove to work today and nothing. Def thinking it has to do with the passenger seat. Is there anything in particular that i should be looking for? I do believe that the car had some type of airbag service done by the previous owner. It's an 04 with 63k mi

I believe it has to do with the passenger hitting the knee on the dash or possible the weight sensor to turn the bag off for small children. My friends STS and CTS does this when passengers jossle slightly. Just did a 600 mile road trip in my V and it did it twice on me

yep i would agree with Joe. I had the same **** going on, I unplugged the sensors under the seat, trued them up, and plugged them back in... never did it again. If that doesn't work, try in the A-pillar too.

The recall only applies to 2005-2007 CTS and CTS-Vs. I don't know why 2003-2004 is left out.

So there is a Recall for 05? Cause mine did it last week and I unhooked the battery to clear it. It did it again today.

read my post, it's a loose connecter under the passengers seat. lift the seat the whole way, unplug the sensor, push the wires in, and shove it back together.

Mine also says "service airbag" anytime my passenger's *** leaves the seat. There is a recall. Seems to function ok other than that.

I also have the recall notice from GM about the air bag sensor. Havent had a chance to bring it in yet. Mine is an 07. Never gotten the service airbag light though.
