Default Re-chrome

Whats about average for rechroming a set of v1 wheels? The more I look at my V the more i want to stick with the chrome wheels. They are in bad shape, chrome is peeling and just look awful. Ive gotten a few quotes but the ranges are pretty big. Also are you guys finding shops doing the prep work? One shop said they have to farm out prep work which i found strange. Never chromed anything, always been a powder coat guy.

Ebay has some chrome wheel exchangers, but i can't speak for their quality. They look to be around 6-700.

Ill take a look into it. Ive read that the chrome on the stockers is just the face not the whole wheel thus the poor quality leading to peeling etc. Dont know how true that is. My current wheels look like crap, probably more from the po's neglect more then quality.

took a look into the chrome exchange places on ebay. They will not accept wheels that are already chromed. Guess its going to be too expensive to get rechromed. Eh powder coat it is i guess
