That one race clearly depicts what will happen every time those cars race.

Theres a couple videos on youtube, but i would like to see two professional drivers running them.

To me it looks like a drivers race, ive watched it a couple times. but im thinking that since the new zl1 camaro came out with 580hp i would think they would bump the 2013 V up too but you never know.

i think its kind of sad that the v2 has been out for 4 years and the brand new m5 can keep up with it and thats it, I would think they would try to raise the bar.

Those are still two bad *** cars. I've always loved the M5. I worked for BMW and got to drive them on a regular basis.

not understanding how the m5 is getting it most of the time with 50 less tq and 200 lb heavier... and the m5 should lag granted the new ones are 8cyl turbos or at least thats what I read they planned a few months back.

I don't think turbo lag is much of an issue with these new motors. If anything it just keeps increasing the torque pull all the way to redline. BMW has pioneered some very nice tech in turbos.

I was just looking over some posts and i saw a couple threads with actual dyno numbers. I think bmw is underateing them because the threads that had graphs were showing crank power at 573hp and 531 ftlbs.

Gearing? There is more to a fast car than just what the engine puts out.

^agreed about that but until now the gearing in all the m5s has been at a disadvantage over the v

i think there isnt a f10 m5 owner that feels like the bar hasnt been raised when they drive around. even if they happen to lose a race. you need to sit in one of those and then sit in a V2. both are quick but the extra money you spend to get a f10 m5 is well worth it.

but like mentioned the f10 m5 is under rated and might pull on a v2 up top...but we wont know until the f10 m5 is in more hands.

Hey I owned an m3 before I got the v and one thing I know for sure that if I was able to afford it at the time I would have been in the new m3 right now...But we have to be realistic they are 50% more expensive than the v's (m5s that is). And yes in my book a beemer will always be better than a cadi as hard as it is for me to admit it. Oh and the car also doesn't squeel and squeek when you buy them lol

A 2011 cts-v i think is on par with a 2011 e90 m3 overall. really the V2 is on par with the M but maybe a little bit less luxurious and special feeling then the c63.

But comparing a cts to a 5 series puts the cts at a disadvantage. people dont spend that sort of money on just being faster then the next guy, the total vehicle is important.

I would love to have the spare coin for a mct c63 sedan....

I'd rock an m5 if I could afford it... Even if I'm a caddi guy... I agree the extra money in a BMW is noticeable
