Stopped by Year One today. Scored a deal...
Been in Braselton, GA this week for the Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta. Left the track a little early today so decided to stop in and see Year One's place. They were setting up for a car show and big sale tomorrow. Noticed a set of cathedral style heads sitting on a table in the showroom. Guy said they are Patriot LS6 Stage 3s. I knew not to but asked what the price was. I was floored when he said $750. Been in stock since 2007 & they were just liquidating old inventory. Needless to say, at less than half price of what they had in them, they are going home with me! Now I just gotta figure out what cam I want.

The patriot's were "LS6 style" heads. Meaning they started with 317 truck heads and welded up the chambers, then cnc'd them. They likely don't have the lightweight ls6 valves, but are bigger then ls6 valves.
Yes a cheap score, but could have gotten a nicer piece by sending in real ls6 cores to a company for cnc treatment. Just my .02 cents.
