I wonder how easily (or not) the upgraded Heat Exchangers for the 2009+ V would fit in the front end of the V1. The "small" one is the Fluidyne, and it is 31"x7"x 5.5", with the KDI and WeaponX being 36"x7"x5.5".

Might be something worth while to fab up to help with those IATs.

For the money they want for those and the fact that I'm changing over to turbo over the winter I'd rather not. The meth should help and also the nitrous

That's pretty much the plan. Ditch the current HX and go with the short thick type. 5.5 I might have issues with clearance. Won't know for sure till I pull the bumper cover

Mine, too ... from about 2k RPMs, my 275 Pilot Super Sports lose traction just pushing my foot down. Yours must get crazy loose.

Can't wait to see your new numbers.

Confirmed, I did this last week with a Fel-pro.

This is what I used for my E-Force build and it fits like a condom:

http://www.frozenboost.com/product_i...b4b5a2f96a6ae0

It is actually a tad bigger than our lower inlet, but is 3.5" thick and dual pass. My IAT's have been about 10* above ambient at all times. Can't beat the price...and I don't think the others will perform $900 better.

If you look through my E-Force build thread, you'll see how I mounted it. Really easy.

I'm running that hxn as well with a Maggie but my iats are 40-50 or so above ambient. I recently installed 3 fans on it but didn't notice much of a difference.

Any word on how to over drive the rear?

How did that compare to your IATs with the HEX from the Magnuson kit.

I never had the magnasum hxn installed to compare it. I question the placement of these iat sensors though. Either that or the unit just gets incredibly hot.

Fel-Pro or any others...it's a simple truck 5.3 intake gasket. Use a dremel or bench grinder to grind off the ears. I got mine for a 2003, since that's what my parts guy knew I had...it was simpler that way without having to explain anything.

Hey Dmm, can u give me a few more pics of that iat sensor u made? Also what HX pump is that? Any flow numbers on it? That's te same HX core I'm gonna run. I had a huge air bubble in my HX from when I street tuned it so my iat's should e down a bit from then but I can always use cooler air. I might extend my air similar to what u did and L it under the intercooler. U got me thinkin now. Only question is using that steel hose I would think it would hold heat being that its metal

If yiu want to check out one of those chillers I got one and am in ct. Let me know. It does jack when the bypass is open. But when your in boost it chills to 10 below ambient most days. This is with omega and 10% od. Coolant temp when doing 1hour xommute is any where from30 to 45 f depending on cabin load for ac. Does put ice on the lines some times
