v1 cts-v or v1.5 cts-v?

Trying to decide whether or not to get the cts-v with the ls2 that has more potential for power or get the older cts-v and save a little cash. Any relevant input is welcome...

what are your plans? if you're gona turbo it, go with the LS6. if you're gona go NA or charge it, go with the LS2.

Ok so lets look at this. Stock for stock it's similar. The ls2 came with a better rear stock, but the ls6 could have been upgraded by the dealer. Ls2 has more displacement, better for boost but only slightly. Ls2 is a newer generation motor so swapping in an ls3 /ls7 isn't as difficult. Ls2 responds slightly more to mods than the ls6.... The ls2 can take different heads, etc. than the ls6. I would go ls2 but Im pretty biased, see sig

IMHO... Doesn't matter either way. The rear end needs to be addressed no matter what if you are going to beat on it hard and the difference in motor is negligible. If you are going to end up going for giant power numbers you are going to swap in something iron anyways. I say get one you like. I wanted an LS2 but I ended up with an LS6 in an 04. I'm still just as happy. And I am still going to do a full 8.8 swap when time and money allows. The .3 liters of different displacement isn't going to add a huge percentage to the volumetric efficiency or anything. They both use the same heads... Different valves though.
