Sorry, I have the shift **** in my hands, uninstalled.

I am seeking assurance that when I purchase you kit. When, not if. That I can simply plop on my V2 leather **** onto YOUR modified stalk.

Sorry for the miscommunication. I am saving pennies for that and selling off old stock to get more LS money. I am bitten by the V, hard. P.S. Your 427 is a beast and one of my favorite CTS-V.

Installed this today and gained a new "safety" feature?

When I go into reverse, the only way to get back into the forward gears it tap the shifter to the right after I bring it out of reverse. If I don't tap it right when coming out of reverse it won't let me move it back left.

As cool as this sounds, any ideas on how to make this new feature go away?

I've never seen this before. All I can suggest is to double check the installation and make sure nothing is binding.

Holy big difference!

I went from the loose stock, to tight shifter and the CS brass bushing!

If you want a tight (and short) shift pattern, this will get you there!

I am wondering what just the shifter would have done, I think most of the slop was in the pivot point an bushings that were replaced with this setup...

Usually, about 90% of the play is removed with just the shifter swap. The CS bronze bushing at the trans end takes care of what's left besides internal trans issues.

Shifter, bronze linkage bushing, and poly support rod bushing will get you everything you need. I believe my shifter is being sent out this week. I can't wait.

I need this shifter so badly. I really dislike the OEM setup. The shifter setup is pathetic vs my 1992 Sentra. Yeah, a 1992 Sentra.

I need this in my life..... so much. Winter makes it easier to forget. Now it is getting warmer and when I drive it, the OEM shifter reminds me of how pathetic it truly is. Almost got enough saved.

Make it a priority!
The improvement is staggering.

You'll ask yourself why you put up with that garbage stock shifter for as long as you did!

Don't forget to install base bushings while you are doing the install.

I just drove 2,000 plus miles using the stock shifter..... (shaking my damn head) and the shifts got worse in the tail end of that trip.....

Talking finally got enough for my first attempt at V1 shifter improvement.

Money sent. I cannot stand this any longer!
What other bushings I need also, more stuff from Creative-Steel? I have a V2 **** I would love to place back on here so I will have to send you my stalk to be modified to fit.

i so loved the Hurst setup in my 2005 V.
positive, solid, tight, notchy, purposeful.
now that i've got an '09, what can be done to get a similar feel to gear changes on a V2?

Get the brass link if you are dropping the trans any time soon. Otherwise the poly and brass bushings are great to do at the same time.

I received my short shifter a few days ago. Bashed my fingers a few times while traveling to work on the front spring-loaded "ash tray" as a few final reminders as to why the OEM shifter sucks.
