Default stock shifter mod

Brian, do you still do the stock shifter mod? If so how much and how do I go about getting one? Thanks!

If I can pull up on my ‘stock’ shifter and feel play does that mean my pivot cup/ball situation is worn out?

did you have the option to purchase the longer shifter stalk from brian or did you have to buy that Separate?

Anyone have their old OEM shifter that’s laying on the shelf collecting dust I’ll take it off your hands! Lol

I bought mine separately (I also modified my Hurst shifter before Brian was selling them) He may offer them, but they are a standard Hurst item that you can find at a number of places that sell Hurst items (or amazon/ebay)

I have one but I wouldn’t recommend it. The pivot ball is turning to powder and loose AF. There’s around 1/8-1/4” of play in the lever when installed. I pm’d Brian to see if he wants it for the stock upper half but I’m not sure he checks in here all that often.

Has anyone heard from the guy who makes the shifter bushings? I've been waiting on a reply from him.

Is Brian (07 CTS-V) still around on this forum? I've been trying to get in touch with him but no luck. I looked at his post history and it doesn't appear he's posted in a while (however, I could have been doing that completely wrong).

I pm’d him to send him a shifter stalk before thanksgiving and never heard back. Maybe send an email to his paypal address? I didn’t try that.

I think you send paypal with selections in the notes section. Check the first post. I don’t think he replies to or reads this thread lately.

Isis is correct. I took his advice a couple weeks back and reached out to him through Paypal and got in touch with him quickly. He's currently powder coating my calipers.

Just installed mine. Super simple install with a buddy. 1.5 - 2.0 hrs. Shifter feels awesome.

Should definitely be one of the first mods you do to your car.

now that i've got an '09, what can be done to get a similar feel to gear changes on a V2?

in case anybody finds this via search & is looking for a solution for a V2 shifter:
installed the Core shiftier that uses some Hurst parts & it transforms the driving experience, making it feel almost as wonderful as the Hurst in my former 05 V.
