The V bit the dust today...
My 2005 V is surely totaled after an accident i was in today, it was my fault but i place all blame on the shitty cup holders. My water bottle flew out and onto the floor near the pedals and i naturally had to pick it up. lucky surprise for me was looking up to see some lady stopped in the middle of the road in an SUV. Long story short i couldn't stop in time and there was no way to dodge her. only hit her around 15mph but it was enough to cause my V to dive under her SUV and crumple a large portion of the car also deploying the airbag. Never had an airbag deploy before, those things hurt. Have to wait on the estimate for a true conformation on her fate but it does not look good when all my radiator fluid is running down the road. Ill upload some pictures later.

I hate treads with this type of title. Ya just know a shitty story is waiting when you open it up.
Sorry Mang, Big Suck !!! More glad you're ok than bummed about the car though.
Good way to take the path less traveled, Classy post
Nick, I'm not sure about you. I have to admit that it crossed my mind, wasn't gonna say it though.

100% totaled... because the air bags went off there's almost no chance it will be rebuilt(from an insurance pov). This sucks brother I really feel your pain, about nine months ago I got hit by a Tahoe and It nearly totaled the car... $11k in damage!!
Try to keep the car. Honestly it looks better than mine did after the crash. You could prob rebuild it yourself for under $8k as long as your smart about buying parts and choosing shops. Not sure if that would include fixing the air bags...

that sucks when you almost get out of the situation, but it still ends up happening. i'd be more angry that i finally hit the SUV at 15mph rather than just reamed the crap out of it going 30+. maybe it's just me. either way it's good to see you walked away with minimal injuries. i can't say i've had to battle an airbag before so i can't relate to how that feels.
i feel like the insurance is going to rack up the bill on this one and try to total it out. it's easier for them to do it that way.
and because i'll be that guy, i need a HID projector. did one of the headlights survive enough to make the projector still usable? if you stole it off the car before the insurance company took the car away from you...that'd be mighty nice of you...

Any crash you can walk away from... There's always more cars to buy, glad you're okay.
I was in a highway wreck about 15 years ago in a rental (because someone crashed into my DD, tough year) and slammed into the door of a camaro that landed perpendicular to me while I was going 60mph. The airbag went off, but the problem was I was still moving and was trying to keep the car in my lane and off the concrete K-rail next to the L tracks. I couldn't see over the airbag or through the cloud of white chemical smoke from the airbag deployment charge. Good times.
