Hmm...Well that sucks...So are the G2's worth the extra $54 than the V12's? I'm in the process of doing the LCA slot mod and I will be ordering a set tonight either way..
I may need to add the note that I may possibly be doing a track day at PBIR in April, and occasional AutoX...from what I've heard the Hankooks may not stand up to the track as well? The roommates are both running the v12 evo2s on their g37s and I have the Evo1's currently and we've all been satisfied with them given the Evo2 being a tad better than 1...

Just ordered the Invo's in 255/40 all around. The corvette and M3 guys have reported 30k+ miles on Invo's, so we'll see what happens.
FWIW: I'm coming from a set of 245/45 v12 evo2's that I ordered last March during the sale, and they are already toast at about 15k miles. I thought it was an excellent tire, but I was hoping to get more life out of it. For those who don't drive a lot of miles, I think it's a good choice.

I'm an amateur compared to t raven, but I got my 3 pairs ordered - a full set of Falken RT615s for my Mustang, and some Falken FK453s for the rear summer wheels of the V. (Summer wheels currently have Conti DWs on 'em, but DTD didn't have those listed on Ebay for the $100 off deal, so I went with the Falkens instead.)

I know this sale is over now, but the Nitto NT555 G2's are magnificent so far. I can finally actually grip in first gear, unlike with the Hankooks I had installed. Ordered 245 all around.

I'm out of the area for a couple months but I had my wife send me pics of the tires. She's a neat freak so I'm surprised she can stand to have them stacked up without being more organized lol.
She didn't want to wait for me to come mount hers on her Yaris so she had the Toyota dealer install them. It's gonna be fun installing all the rest when I get home. I've already got a big pile of old tires I need to get rid of. I need to find a place that will take them for free. The dump takes them for $3 each, but after installing all these new ones, I'll probably have 40 or 50 to get rid of. $3 each is a lot for that many.

Did you get 255's all around? I'm on H&R's and get a mild scrape when turning into parking lots with big elevation differences. However, my caster is pretty off and I think I just need to get my fenders rolled. I had 255's in the rear on the H&R's with no problem. Plenty of room in the rear for sure...Stock height I don't think 255's would give you any problem. You could probably even go wider if you ran a shorter sidewall.
My next set of rears will probably be 275/40s as I start adding power this summer leaving the fronts @ 245.

Damn...I got the Discount Tire by me to just give the $100 off instead of ordering through eBay. Did you just fax them your receipt? Hope I didn't screw myself $70.
Loving the G2's so far. I autoXd on Saturday and managed to pull 0.95Gs on an asphalt parking lot...in the rain!

I haven't read through the 5 pages of posts to see if this has already been mentioned, but a brick & mortar Discount Tire store WILL match the $25/per tire discount. And they don't seem to care about the $100/ea price minimum either.

so i got the 255/45's mounted, balanced, and aligned today. i can say they fit and havent rubbed yet but it was DAMN CLOSE according to the tire shop, like not a pinky's worth of room. tires are nitto nt555 g2. i couldnt get any pics from under the car but when i do i will add them. i havent gotten to push the G force load yet but straight line traction is way better than my mostly worn pss as3's.

Here's my car operating as a tire pack mule to get the new tires mounted and balanced for my Mustang after taking advantage of the DTD Ebay sale. 2 old 275/35-18s on 18x9.5s, 2 old 295/35-18s on 18x10.5s, 2 new 275/35-18s, and 2 new 315/30-18s all crammed into the car.

They said up front clearance to the control arm. I didnt step down to 40s or 35s though. I haven't looked yet but the owner, manager, and tech mentioned it. I know it wasn't a performance shop but they've been around for 30+ yrs. Any way they are on there and I am happy. Just sharing for those who said 255/45s would rub on stock height, even though others had been fine also.
