Oi....yikes. You are lucky that you caught it before you had big time failure. I decided to get the reusable ARP bolt for when I install my Powerbond balancer. If you ever plan on doing any sort of motor work, it only makes sense to get the ARP bolt.

The factory bolt is torque-to-yield: it stretches when torqued to spec. If you try to use it again, you will stretch it past its tolerance, so it can fail in a few ways. It will definitely be more prone to backing out.

Its good you caught it before it was was the cause of some catastrophic failure. I'm in the same camp as bmylez upgrade the fasteners if you decide to do work. It makes the most sense.

Bolts comes out, balancer causes the bolt to strip the threads on the crank. Balancer walks off and takes out some accessories/fan/radiator.....

Also possible to hurt the bottom end.
