Vorshlag weighed a 6-spd GT with "low fuel" at 3718#, so either Ford's definition of curb weight is not a full tank of gas, or the numbers they released a few months back were off by ~110#.
Anyway, the new Mustang is in the same ballpark as the V, which is crazy, but unless you get a fully optioned GT automatic convertible, it should still weigh less than our beloved Caddy.

The "standard" is all fluids topped off (hence a full tank of gas), but I don't think there's a government regulation that specifies what "curb weight" actually entails.
I don't think it weighs less than a Mustang.

Ah, gotcha.
I need to get my car on the scales at some point. Actually, I'd like to get all 3 cars weighed, as they've all seen significant modifications from their stock configurations and it would interesting to see how everything adds up (or subtracts off).

Comparatively, these cars don't weigh as much as people like to say. Plus there's a fair amount of weight that can be dropped without degrading the street appeal of the car (clutch/flywheel, headers, wheels, rotors, etc.). I've had my car weighed twice on the same scales and came up with these weights:
Me in the car (about 168 lbs) with helmet in the passenger seat, half tank of gas, a few trunk interior pieces removed, some dynamat back there, Kooks headers, hi-flow cats, Corsa catback, sunroof, rear strut tower brace, BMR front brace, Optima redtop in stock location:
Total 4018
Plus LS9 clutch/flywheel, wheels/tires, rear seat removed, maybe a quarter tank of gas less (if that) and I'd gained about 20 lbs:
Total 3886
I'm really curious what the car weighs nowadays though.

the z06 is supposedly around 3150. Or 1400kg in other words. You are about 300kg heavier. I am a bit closer...After subtracting all my projected weights i aught to be 205lb or 90kg heavier than the Zo6...
Doors -142lb
Seat -85lb
Carbon Fenders, Rear Deck, Hood -43.5lbs
Exhaust -65lb
Headers -26lb
ported heads -10lb
2-pc rotors -10lb
Wheels -40lb
Alu spindles -10lb
Ls7 clutch -30lb
I will get an actual weigh in once i get her started and moving along on her own power...I also have a LS9 Clutch with Alu flywheel...

My car has full interior, just the mods in my sig, no junk inside the cabin or trunk and a full tank of gas(just filled right before weighing). with an empty tank it would only be about 110lbs lighter since gas is less dense than water 6.1lbs per gallon vs around 9 for water. I'm still on stock wheels with non run flat 245/45 18 potenza so-4 tires. Ishould at least be 50-75 lbs lighter than stock

My car is weird, I've raced two people i know that have bone stock c6 zo6 vettes. I put 1 car on the one from 60-125 and 1 1/2 cars on the other from 40-140... If you go off power to weight then i should need 530 wheel SAE to even match a zo6 which i don't make... I was not banging gears when i raced them, just shifting easy... The 40-140 zo6 was on the same dyno as me right after me and that day i put down 488/453 SAE and he did 431/400 SAE... I should loose to them but somehow i don't and the faster we get above 120 i pull even harder? strange indeed

no that's not really valid, since i was absolutely not shifting fast... on the 40-140 run it was taking me almost a full second to get into gear due to the shitty stock master and the failing slave that was putt in by the shoddy work of Vengeance racing... the 60-125 was with the new slave and tilton master but was still far from banging gears(i have anxiety over breaking something) a bone stock c6 zo6 is just slower than my car, although it should not be... the 60-125 driver was trapping 121 with 2.7 60 foots peddeling 1st and a bit of 2nd so he's definately able to shift just fine imo

i'll post up a vid of how long it was taking me to shift before the new master got put in... its pretty bad lol, fast forward to 2:15 to hear the slowest shifting ever
