Default Hemi hellcat smokin' a cts-v video

Saw this vid of the new Hemi Hellcat ripping by a CTS-V.

No question this new Hellcat is one serious piece!

Hate to say it but something tells me this is just the first of viewing this kind of result of Hellcat versus CTS-V unless the V is packing something in the range of 650 RWHP which I believe is the approx. RWHP number for the Hellcat.

707 hp and 4,439 pounds, Figure 15% drivetrain loss and you're looking at 600WHP Boat

V's depending on year vary from 4,000 to 4,200 Pounds, so yea, need at least 600whp to play with this bad boy

Here's a vid of the Hellcat being dynoed at Liverniois' in Michigan where it made 642 rwhp .

Makes one think the advertised 707 HP number is on the low side.

To be on safe side a V might be better off having something closer to 700 RWHP if he expects to play with this bad boy and show it the V's taillights.

Should also remember this Hellcat has another advantage over the V with its 8 speed auto trans.

The dyno numbers are unreliable hype. The 1/4 time is driver but repeatable trap speed is legit for hp. That's how you measure apples and not oranges.

They're even closer than that in weight. V2's range from 4200-4398 depending n coupe to wagon form... that and I believe the Hellcat is underrated as well...

A ported M122, PRC 247cc heads, big cam, 404 stroker (if keeping stock LS2 block), and you're looking at some healthy power, but not gonna hang with a Hellcat, unfortunately.
