Default 2016 Cadillac CTS-V - Official

I thought it would be more aggressive but I still like it.

from the press release:
Launching in late summer with 640 horsepower (477 kW), 630 lb-ft of torque (855 Nm) and a top speed of 200 mph, the new CTS-V reaches higher than its predecessors, leading Cadillac’s product-driven expansion and elevation. It is the third generation of the acclaimed luxury sports sedan that launched the elite V-Series a decade ago – and redefined Cadillac for a new generation of enthusiasts.

while i know they're marketing towards the high end luxury cars so an automatic makes sense, but to not even offer it to the people who would want to use this car for more than cruising around is stupid.

I've never driven the more polished V2 with the TR6060, but rowing gears in the V1 isn't always a pleasure. Even if it were available, I'd check the auto option on the V3 based on the experience I've had in the V1.

I've band-aid'ed a lot of the shifting issues on my V1, and I love shifting it... but would definitely prefer the automatic for consistency and ease of drivability in heavy traffic (NYC)

I remember back on CF when I said it would be over 620hp (this was over a year ago for sure) and everyone there scoffed and said 'no, there's no way it will be that much. maybe 600'.

Now look. 640hp. In a platform that may come in weighing what? 3800, 3900lbs?

300-400 lbs less than a V2. I think its awesome. I think it looks great, and I'm glad to see that kind of power in a V, stock.

V3 is 4130lbs. So about 150lbs less than V2. Only about 150lbs heavier than a V1 with a ton packed more into it.

No need to. It's AT only.

V1s ~3900lbs or so. 4130 is 230lbs more than a V1. Official curb weight for a V1 is 3850 I believe. Where'd you see the weight numbers for the V3? I expected it to weigh less than 4100.

Oops yeah I miscalculated the numbers. Here's GM's press release on the car with all the figures except MPG.

I think it looks much better then the V2(which I always felt was a bit uglier then the V1), if I had the money I would be tempted.

I hope you can get black window trim? It looks like the silver car has black, and the black car has chrome?

I also don't care for the vents behind the front tires, it's not a vette after all. I also wish the front grille was chrome and I wish Cadillac would bring back the wreath.

Damn, $80,000... It'll be a while before they depreciate into my price range!

haha yep, let someone else eat the depreciation. That's one steep price tag. I'll be driving my v1 around for a while.

Maybe this will accelerate depreciation in the V2's finally.
