A buddy of mine who is on the CTS-V forum sent me this link but unfortunately it comes up as " private video " and won't play when trying to view it.

Why do coupes keep getting bigger and heavier? these two cars and the 2015 mustang are huuuuuuge. In what world does it make sense that a coupe weighs more than a 4 door CADILLAC(which always stood for "huge car")

Agree with the dood, on the street you don't need to pull Gs, you need hp.

Guaranteed there will be plenty of " ya but..." excuse making and whining.

The fact both cars weigh over 4000lbs is super depressing! I hope in the next few years they don't dip into the 5000lbs range and go the other direction!

You guys are making too big of a deal over weight.
The cars perform.
Could they do better with less weight?
Sure.
But the bottom line is these cars can hand most of us our ***.
Accept it.

In a straight line. Big deal.

More fun is had at the track and around corners IMO. Throwing all that weight around is an issue. Thus why the ATS-V can beat the V2 around the track with 100 less hp.

Lightweight options are out there. The Challenger is a huge car and very comfortable for up to 4 people. It's a cruiser, not a sports car. Still looks like it handles great.
