Default Mil Spec harness for CTS-V

Does anyone know where i may find one of these harnesses so i may swap out my current defective harness for a working one?

Am havin too many electrical issues with my OEM harness, and rather than me spend 400-700 on OEM i rather pay a little more for a Mil-spec harness.

Looking forward to your replies

what is the price difference between a mil spec and oem... mil spec is going to be superb but im concerned the cost will be outrageous.

good info in that link ls1, I love that they touched base on the women of WWII.. I have been in aviation and aerospace for some time now, lots of accurate information in that post.

Was this just an engine management harness and why did he need it?

Thanks

It seems NAF is running out of ways to spend colossal amounts of money. Kudos to your creativity.

It replaced the full engine/chassis harness from dashboard/ecu to the engine bay. It's a show car so he tucked everything and replaced the bulkhead connection with a single, round MIL spec connector mounted to the firewall.

It's completely cosmetic. I honestly thought that was the only point of them but the extent of my knowledge on the topic has been posted in this thread. I'm tapped out.

From the lack of overall electrical problems reported around here, I'd say the factory harness is pretty painless.

OEM harness is 1000-1400 as per online search, the Mil-spec in theory is 2000

but my problem is they all make standalone harnesses so i am out of luck, unless i yank the whole harness out and repair each wire...

I may have a local solution to my problem. There is a company in Bahrain that does this type of business, so i gave them a call, waitin on the call back to see what they say...

If they are able to reproduce my harness in a higher quality i am so for it...

What's the weight difference?

Mil-spec is probably heavier.

We just had a mil-spec (Race Harness) made for our Trans-AM C7 corvette It was a complete harness (Front to rear) of the car that just plugged in to the Motec with one plug. It was 7K They are proud of that **** but it is some very nice work & the DT & DTM connectors are bad ***.

I got a quote from an american company, 3 large and an month wait. Plus i have to send them my original harness so add two more weeks delivery...

Something to think about, spend a grand on what i have now, or three large for a slimmer, more heat resistant harness???
