Default Help identifying shifter (pictures)

Does anyone know what brand shifter this is? It is for a Gen 1 V. What is the approximate used value and what all would I need to install it? Bushings, washers, etc.? Thank you in advance!

UUC for sure. New they went for $450. Used value just depends but I would say between 180-200.

Thanks!

Would I need new bushings or anything else to install?

Before you spend much money on that shifter you need to evaluate the condition of both pieces of the plastic "bushing"(I call them CUPS) that it pivots in. The UUC and Katech reuse the OEM plastic pivot bushing. Once they wear out the shifter stick is going to feel sloppy. I'm not aware of new OEM bushings being available, maybe you can find some other way to tighten the two halves of the plastic bushing that the stick pivots in order to tighten the feel/movement of the stick while shifting.

One way to check the condition of the plastic bushings that our stock shifters came with is to lift up and push down on the shifter while it's still in the car. If you can feel movement the bushings are worn. The more movement, the more they are worn. There was no up and down movement when the car was new. The up and down movement has nothing to do with the rest of the bushings involved with the shifter, including the shifter linkage that connects to the trans or the two urethane bushings that support the mounting of the shifter assembly under the car.

I wouldn't spend $100 on that shifter.

Why wouldn't you pay $100 for it? It cost $350 brand new.

For the record the guy was asking $125. We agreed on $100.

I have gone to pick it up yet though. Is this a good deal?

I think $100 is a great deal for the UUC. There maybe be dissenting opinions but after trying the uuc, dv8s, and the Hurst I preferred the UUC. This all comes down to personal preferences but I found the UUC to be the best shifter for me.

Uuc is a happy medium. Hurst is better shifting the uuc is quieter and also a nice shift. The Hurst needs work to be perfect. One is throw. Height. Ball weight and center alignment. Buts that's all my opinion.

I've tried a lot of shifters and uuc and Hurst are my favs. I'm currently running uuc. Creative steel shifter seems like the best mix for what I just complained about. Lol...

Uuc still is a solid shifter and after I've tried it if someone came and stole my shifter I'd have no problem buying it for the prices you posted above. Hope this helps

The UUC was horrible even when new. I have a used one I'll gladly sell for $100 shipped. That's about the going price.

The UUC is a POS and does not solve any issues that the stock shifter has. It could be a $1000 shifter and not be worth a damn.

I have had several different shifters and now own the best.

I didn't care for the dv8. I didn't dislike Brian's modified one. I found the Hurst to be my favorite of those. The Hurst still lacking a little perfection. I got tired of the noise after awhile and found the uuc to be comfortable. Which is why its still in the car, I really think the CS shifter is worth a try for me if I ever wanted to change.

I know what the uuc cost. I bought one because there was no other at the time. Then i also did the stock modified and that blew the ucc out of the water. Same setup in terms of bushings and all. Worst money i've spent on the car was the uuc. Save the money and get one of the many others out there now. Me i would do the hurst. Which i'm have just been too lazy to do. lol

I bought it and it came with with the extra shift **** boot and bezel. Figured its worth a try. If I don't like I'll just sell it.

I actually didn't buy a cts-v when I first drove a used one that had the uuc shifter already installed.
