Default What to look for in a v1?

Hey guys, I've been looking at a few v1s, and Im wondering what I should look for/inspect on one before buying it. There doesn't seem to be much, except for to be easy on the rears.

What say you?

I thinkt he motor mounts and the shifter are the worst part. My motor mounts were terrible. Torn, leaking, I swapped em to 95a urethane from creative steel. Is do that with all the bushings in the car if it was me... Except the control arm bushings, keep down in squeaking.

This is a frequently asked question, unfortunately there is not a good FAQ in the subforum.

So paste this into google, and you get some good results...

site:ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-cts-v "what to look for"

.also replace text with
"Looking to buy"

Like any car. Leaks. Rear diff leaks. Rear diff lash. Whine. Tranny whine and engagement. Shutters or clunks in low rpms on off accel. Bushing wear. Cleanliness of paint and engine bay. I love to rub through all the DIC to see if its all cleared or what the values are that tells stories in both directions.
