Mine did that during the winter. It 90% healed itself over time. Very weird.

...guess its time to sell the car, upgrade.
Id suspect the obvious, to replace the cluster. Find a used one and get it adjusted to match cars odometer.

Chances are it is because of freezing, or at least mine did it when it was freezing outside. It has since gone away for now.

Where are you located and what is ambient?

At the rate im going replacing parts every month or so the thought has crossed my mind. I'm sure clusters are readily available and cheap like everything else on this car. I thought maybe it was something that could be swapped out and still keep the cluster. If that's the case I'll just deal with it.

You know it was pretty chilly here in Austin, Tx today ~60. I thought at first it might be a weather forecast. All jokes aside, it's been a few days since I've driven the car but was told it did it the other day when it was ~90 out.

My screen did that when it was in the single digits two years ago. I thought it would be permanent, but it seemed to have fixed itself.

My cluster (DIC and HVAC as well) made it through several double digit negative temperature days this winter. Other than a slower refresh rate, I've yet to see any of these issues in my V.
