Holy Guacamole ! A NEW '04 CTS-V !
Just took delivery of my 'New' 2004 CTS-V.... it's mind-bending.
11,000 original miles.
Maggie , blower cam , Mallett LTH , muffler delete , murdered , B&M shifter , KW V3's , Hotchkis sways , 20" HRE 540R's AND Oe tires/wheels....and a 3:91 rear gear.
From the middle of 3rd on up - this thing pulls like the Space Shuttle , won't quit , pulls more and ask's for the next gear. Thrilling !
For freeway hits...hard to beat that 3:91 - neck snapping **** right there.
For digs...wouldn't go near it with a 3:91. We'll see how it lasts...already looking for 8.8 Cobra diff to have on the shelf.
BTW - 20" HRE 540R's are 4 sale and only have 1900 miles on the set. 9x10
So there it is ! My first post as an official V owner. Feels great !

Forgot about it's LS7 clutch upgrade !
I'm no genius on this find. Belonged to my uncle who has a large car collection and I got it for an absurdly low price.
Currently in the shop ( www.twinsturbo.com) getting interior work , re-tune , OE wheels widened/painted and an alignment.
I'll post pics when they give it back...my heads still swimming !

I believe the Aussie version came with 3:91 ratio.
This car came with the stock 3:73 gear - and had the 3:91 installed later.
Since these Getrags are made of glass...having an 8.8 waiting in the wings seems like a good idea.

@DMM -
got a weird question for you...going back to '06 (?)) on this forum about Maggies and Heat Exchangers.
My V has a large 3" thick Aluminum HE stacked infront of the radiator and AC Cond.
Did this come 'stock' with the Magnacharger kit ? I thought these kit's came with the little packaged HE under the blower and that was all.
However , looking at old advertisements for Magnuson - they show a picture of the kit...and it appears that the kit DOES include this large HE and pump to be mounted in the grill.
Can you set me straight ?

I got the car from my uncle who has a large collection of badassedness .
He's a Super Car guy (83 years old) and considered this car much too raw - he put exactly 1,900 miles on it after acquiring it and having all the mods done back in 2006 !
Everything in my Sig has exactly 1,900 miles on it. I NEVER win on this scale!
It's now my DD - hence putting the OE wheels back on and selling the HRE's.
In the remarkably capable hands of my best friends Marc and Eric Kozeluh , all the sin's of sitting (started once a month/op temp , trickle charger) around dormant for 9 years will be found.

["First thread about a new V, and no pics, come on man!"]
Lol...100% true.
My uncle likes to "customize" his cars...to the extreme IMO , and I can't hang with it...not even for second.
It's under the knife this moment getting the interior put back to stock (Lord!) and calming down the exterior.
I was simply too excited at getting it to not post in the forum I've been lurking in for the last 6 months. Too much to ask....
Minor bitch-move on my part - I'll come through...promise !

["What did he change to the interior and exterior?"]
Seats reupholstered , door panels reupholsterd , floor mats custom , custom accents around shifter and dash bezel.
Rear bumper utterly custom , exhst exiting through CENTER of bumper , custom color accents on front and rear bumpers.
You want me to post pics of that ? I won't. That's not my car I just described up there...it's someone elses'. MY car is currently being pulled out from under what I described above.
