Default CTS-V vs Challenger Hellcat vid

To get the full effect might want to crank up the sound when watching this vid.

When I see videos like this I acknowledge the defeat but can't help admire the Hellcat has become the new (quasi) baseline for high performance.

For the price the Hellcat is a hard car to beat.

There's no way that hellcat is stock. If you do the math most rwd cars are 18 percent drive Loss no way a stock one would put down 635whp

FWIW, the dyno numbers on stock Hellcats range from anywhere from 635 to 670 RWHP ! It has been proven that these cars are most definitely UNDERRATED at their advertised 707 ( crank ) HP.

Don't take my word for it. Check out all the dyno pull vids for the Challenger Hellcat on the internet.

The weight of the CTS-V is right about 4250-4300 lbs. while the Hellcat's weight is reported to be right around 4450 lbs.

No question it 's probably the best bang for the performance buck out there, provided one doesn't pay over the list price that some dealers are gouging customers with.

I think the Scat Pak is actually the best bang for the buck. You can get a sub12 second car for around $38k out the door with all the discounts and promotions going on.

Dollar wise you are probably right but to have a car come off the showroom floor and run a high ten 1/4 with the only change being bolting on a set of drag radials and for that price ( low $ 60 K ? ) is impressive.

I was one of the people that filmed this vid.. I was actually the one that said "bye bye Hellkitty" at the end, lol.. Anyways, I believe the HCat has a CAI but for sure had drag radials during the runs... The V owner in this vid is actually one of my Admins (Dustin) on the FB group listed in my sig.. He thought the race was going to be a LOT closer because they only had a 56whp difference between them...

Just means it is underrated by the manufacturer.
This is nothing new. Ford -SVT division for years would over rate their 4.6 at 320 but dyno 258 at best. Same went for the LS1 in the WS6 also rated the same 320 but would slap down 300
