I would love an LS7 powered anything, but I'm not sure I would take the LS7 over the TT V6 only because its already boosted. I would bet it wont take the aftermarket long to make the TT car a very potent competitor.

Seems more like a rumor. I would take the LS7 (6 speed) over the V6 any day, slower or not.

I'd be shocked to see this hit production. Although it does seem to follow the V1's origination of using the C5's Z06 LS6 stock left over once the C6 was introduced.

Ohhhh I would love to see a LS7 stuff in there! I am sure that the TT v-6 will have more aftermarket options, but nothing like the sound of a V8!

Not hardly.

I'm thinking this LS7 rumor has its genesis in some of the mules GM cobbled together to test various configurations so they could answer the bosses when questioned behind closed doors.

The after market has already made the LS7 a potent competitor.......Sure they will be able to make more power out of that V6 than it does stock, but eventually it will become more expensive to get more power out of it, than you could easily squeeze from the LS7. GTR's come to mind.

I know the LS7 already has a healthy aftermarket, it's an LS. I'm just saying for me, I would rather play with a factory boosted motor. Some people like N/A stuff, I like F/I stuff. Even if it's a V6.

Surprise Surprise

It really doesn't make financial sense for GM to offer two exceptionally powered engine platforms in this car. The ROI is short on these models anyway. The real money is churning out (and selling) high volume models where the economies of scale come into play. These special models are to more to give the entire brand a greater appeal in terms of marketing and brand recognition.
