Default LS6 CTS-V Magnuson Supercharger discontinued - LS2 kit fit?

I'm considering power upgrades but it looks like the LS6 Maggie kit has been discontinued... other than the tune boxed with it, does anyone know if they're interchangeable? (I've emailed Magnuson with the same question.)

yeah, a lot of places still list them but all have the quote at the bottom "Supercharger Systems are made as order so please note shipping times." Telling me no one has them sitting on shelves, they just haven't updated their sales lists to reflect the discontinuation.

The cheapest LS2 kit I've seen is ColoradoSpeed - $5652

The short answer is that yes, with a few small changes the LS6 and LS2 kits are usable on either vehicle. Injectors, throttle bodies and a few other things would need changed.

Doh! Just got a message from Magnuson that the LS2 CTS-V kit has also just been discontinued and they sold their last one. They have told me they can put together a TVS 2300 kit that won't clear the hood + would need a little fabrication... I'll find out a price.

I wonder if a used kit off a LS2 GTO would fit with a few parts changed... but isn't the CTS-V one turned around 180(?)

I know who is getting the last kit too.. its going on an LS6... the valley cover is different, the throttle body mount is different, and they mentioned some resivour....but everything else should work. minus the tune. those places that have them on ebay still... if you order they will tell you they are discontinued..

For the modifications necessary, you'll have more time and money in the thing than you would an E-Force.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm going to do anything at all but procharging and the eforce are also worth considering. For the eforce, I'd just have to read up a bit more in your thread on the customization necessary.

I can google it when I'm off my phone but I specifically wonder if I found a used ls2 GTO kit if it could fit (nevermind the hood).

That thread has my attention but I have a feeling the price is headed well north of $7k instead of below or at $6k like I'd like it. At that point, a new block is worth consideration too.

Seems to me that if you do the TVS2300 or Paxton, you may want to forge the motor which means even more $.

I'm interested to see what they come back with on the TVS 2300 price, too. I'm on the fence between a TVS and a D-1SC at the moment. I also wonder if "a little fabrication" will be better, worse, or same compared to the fab required to get the D1SC to fit on a GTO bracket.

From Garrett and Magnuson, "The kit would be $7450.00 plus $148.00 shipping, Personally I would talk to Bruce over at Hawks Third Generation in SC and see if he can do you a better deal" so that $7450 is top retail price

What about a ls2 corvette sc? The alignment is the same, but there is a little bit of mods you may have to do...

I'd think the TVS would be better for street (low RPM grunt) versus the Paxton. This is the old roots vs centrifugal comparison ... depends on what you're going to do with the car.

Still think when I have the time and $ I'm going to buy a car with a Maggie already on it and remove, install on mine, swap stock parts (mine had a Maggie before) and then sell the donor car. Money ahead in my book.

I'm in the process of doing just that except I got an 8.8 and a set of f14s in the deal as well. I would just keep that car but its little more than a collection of parts bolted to a car....not very well sorted out and now i know why the car has been sold 3 times in 3 years.

All said and done, I'll have 3k and a lot of work tied up in the supercharger, 8.8 and wheels. Hopefully I can get it all sorted out but only time will tell!
