Default transmission question

Is it true that 05 v tran synchro's are controlled by a computer? if so would disconnecting battery for an hour help with realigning synchro's?

He's probably thinking about CAGS (computer aided gear selection) which activates a solenoid that blocks you out of 2nd or 3rd at certain speeds/RPMs...or he actually thinks the synchros are actually computer controlled, which would make him an idiot. Also, the T-56 transmission doesn't have much to do with it being a Cadillac. A Corvette or GTO expert would have a better understanding.
