Yeah he said these were originally slow motion videos, so I think that's why it's easier to see the wrinkle.

Thanks guys.

LS7 10:1 compression and a 2.9 Whipple on 14-15psi, E85. CS 8.8 rear, twin disc clutch, custom 15" rear wheel conversion.

I've decided that I feel the car has 9.99 in it without nitrous, so I'm going to continue getting seat time, improving driving and have a few ideas to make a tad more power and launch a little harder. Once I get the 9 second slip, THEN i'll put a bottle in it.

Just slowly but surely disproving the long held belief that these cars can't drag race. It's now the hardest launching Manual trans V (v1 or v2) and launches harder than 75% of the modded automatic ones. Granted it took upgraded drivetrain parts and outside the box thinking on suspension stuff to do it, but every car had its weaknesses. I don't know that anyone has really given a good college effort to make one of these go fast in the 1/4 in the past

Keeping the cradle from moving all over the place is key. The other key is getting weight transfering on the launch, quick up in the front and slow down, and once the rear sits down keeping it from unloading and popping up too quickly while stuffing as much force in to the tires/ground as possible. Standard drag racing principles that I've tried to apply to the car. Ive spent a lot of time reading about how to make a drag car hook conceptually, both IRS AND solid axle. I've learned a lot from watching V2s and IRS mustang tricks... I've tried a lot of things, some seem to be working, others I know can be improved and that's what I'm focused on and the biggest hint I'll give right now is that it isn't super complicated or expensive. Just gotta know what you want to happen and then think through the process of getting that to the ground.

Once I improve things to where I'm content and can't seem to make it work any better I'll post exactly what's done. A) this will give others the opportunity to hook a V1 and B) give someone else the opportunity to improve it further. After all, this isn't a shop built car or a highly funded drag car. Just a hobby that i work on w/ friends who arent afraid to get dirty and see what happens!

The way insurance companies are stalking peoples youtube pages, unlikely. Also live in a highly populated area, it's not like we have Texas style highways with no one around. I can confidently tell you that it's nastier from a roll than it is from a dig . Full bolt/E85 on C7 Z06 found that out first hand friday before last when leaving a meet. I know he wasn't expecting what happened one bit
