05 CV axle confusion.

05 CV axle confusion.
Looks like my inner CV joints are due and no one seems to have rebuilt axles in stock. Most of the places I called say they can`t even rebuild the cv joints. I can`t believe that GM designed these cv joints just for use on the 2004-2007 CTSV but I can`t find out what other cars use them.
GMPartsdirect lists PN 26091455 (inner right) and 26091455 (inner left) as the cv joints for all 2004-2007 CTS and CTSV`s. But this post seems to make me doubt that GMPartsdirect is right. https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...l#post18905293
I also found a post stating that the pontiac solstice CV joints are interchangeable with the CTSV joints. http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/1700018-post13.html But the PN`s from GM seem to say that`s not true. The solstice axles seem to be in stock and easily available as rebuilds, so if I could just get 2 of those and swap the CV joints onto my CTSV axle shafts that would be great.
I`m just trying to avoid a bunch of downtime as the only place that I found who could rebuild them would require shipping and probably a week of downtime.

After looking into the solstice axles I found that there are at least 3 different designs depending on the year and options. So I gave up on them.
I picked up a set of 2005 2.8l auto trans regular CTS axles and put them in until I get my factory axles rebuilt. The CTS axles are thinner but seem to fit right in place. The outer nuts are 36mm instead of the V`s 34mm. The threaded shaft is 24mm on the CTS and 27mm on the V. The V axles are splined all the way to the outer CV joint where the splines stop about 3/4" short of the regular CTS CV joint.
