I have one on the shelf and a posi to go inside of it. I paid $300 shipped. Where did u find one with posi and what kind of money did you pay for it? I figure it will add about 100rpm at cruse.

If you had the bright idea to buy a srx diff you should have a pretty interestin plan.

If no plan is present i feel sorry for your wallet.

It will work the same as the one that came in the car from the factory.

Easy way to tell if you have limited slip:

Rotate one CV assy. by hand , the other side should turn in the SAME direction if it has limited slip. It will turn in the opposite direction if it's an open carrier.

I would say the plan is to bolt the rear diff into his cradle and drive the car.

His first post shows signs of doubt

I got it for $150 shipped.Couldn't pass it up.I just want to see how much of a difference it makes. The spines within spin in the same direction when I spin the yoke.
I've been gathering parts for an 8.8 swap with 4.11 gears. But figured for what I gave for the srx unit lets see some quite ride time for a while maybe.
Wanted to see if anyone liked/disliked going to the steeper gear.

I have an 8.8 swap with 4.10's in my V... its great for getting the car moving but you have to have your suspension dialed in. You will be shifting a lot more but you can also use 2nd gear instead of 1st a lot. Im swapping mine for a set of 3.27's though due to going turbo.

That thing is gonna be a slug with 3.27s... If you're going for huge power I'd consider 3.55s, but anything less than 1000whp I wouldn't entertain anything longer than a 3.55. That's just me. A LOT of people tried to tell me to go to 3.55s with my setup and I'm glad I stuck with 3.73s even at 800whp.

3.73 was garbage for my setup so i dropped to the vette ratio of 3.42. Should help the rear end grab better

Another member here bought one and installed it. Said it worked great. Quiet, too. So, I bought one. Got it locally last August. Still sitting on my garage floor. Plan is to transfer the clutch pack portion from my old diff to the new one before installing it. Then, want to go to tuner and get PCM updated to compensate for different ratio. Cheap way to get about 5% more torque to the rear tires instantly.

I would think the steeper gear will help of a roll.

Going from 3.73 to 3.91 isn't "steeper."

I wonder if it would raise the 60mph rpms enough to get out of the drone zone. Would be worth it then

Corsa / bb / magna exhaust droning you?

100rpm isnt gonna make a difference in your drone...

You have to probably experiment with different muffler designs to get rid of the drone

Corsa doesn't drone. He probably has a b&b which drones around 1800 making 6th gear at 60 useless if you are trying to have a conversation with some one.
