Default Which sway bars and end links?

Ok, there is a fair amount of info available on this but it's a bit conflicting and some of it is old. I love sway bars and shocks, it's worked well for me on more than one GM platform. Shocks are a total PITA on these V1s, **** availability. Sways seem to boil down to 2, Hotchkis and Addco. I've done Addco on my 'burb and Strano on my f-body. I want a notable decrease in body roll over stock but don't want to change end links/bushings every year. This is strictly a street driven car so low maintenance (lube only) is what I'm after. My car is stock height and will remain that way. Will Hotchkis sways play nice with Z06 end links on a stock height car?

Your Hotchkis didn't come with poly bushings?

I bought them used, not sure what they come with if bought new. I have a set of the standoffs I think made by addco so I can use standard aftermarket bushing brackets.

People here seem to rave about the Hotchkis, so that's probably the direction I would go if I were in the market. Some have gone so far as to say they wish it was the first thing they did to their car.

I have the addco f/r bars and supra end links on my car and I'm happy with the bars but not the links. The rear links work fine and are as quiet as stock but I cant get the fronts to stop clunking. I think it has to do with the actual stud not being long enough, I barely get the locking nut threaded to the plastic inner portion before its tight. Both bars are adjusted so the links are vertical and i set the links to stock length before install/ final adjustment. My next step is to go to the Z06 links and hope the noise is eliminated.
The actual bars perform really well and the car is flat and predictable. I noticed the difference leaving my neighborhood at 20 mph. FWIW i paid 321$ shipped for the bars (neverenoughauto)and 89$ for the links(ebay).

Don't the Z06 links only work with lowered cars or is it the other way around?

Yes, the Z06 end links are shorter than our stock end links, and will not last if you use them on a stock ride height V.

Good info, thanks guys! I'm still bitter that neither Koni nor Bilstein offers any shocks for our Vs.

But you can buy KW 3-way, LG Motorsports 3-way, and Öhlins 5 way adjustable....why bother with Bilstein or Koni.

Fair question...because I don't want to drop the coin on coilovers. Frankly, the factory dampers make me quite happy and once I do the sways, that'll be it. Well, I will upgrade as things need replacing, like the CS poly bushings but aside from too much body roll, the Vs suspension feels well sorted for my DD purposes. I can't bring myself (yet) to buy the $1000 cheapy coilovers, despite the few positive reviews. Maybe when my OE dampers crap out, I'll feel different. I've done Bilsteins on all my past cars, along with sway bars, and that's become my favorite recipe for upgrading without compromising comfort.

Ground Control coilover springs are the way to go on stock dampers. Got mine for $450 shipped from Sparktec, but you can't get custom spring rates. If you want to get the popular 600/650 combo, it will cost you closer to 500-550.

I'm not sure that makes sense for me since I want to stay stock height. Am I missing something?

Well, you can still stay at stock height with coilovers if you so desire, it's just a matter of choosing the correct spring lengths to be sure you don't run out of adjustment range on the coilovers. The higher spring rates will still give you decreased body roll, squat, and dive, the effect just wouldn't be as big since the CG wouldn't be any lower.

Ordered the Hotchkis kit, going with OEM links or whatever is in the box. I've installed sways on my f-body and multiple trucks. Any tips or tricks for this platform?
