Default 04 V1 ABS module issue/WTB ABS module

I discovered very little fluid was reaching my driver side caliper (04 V1) I traced the line back to the abs module to make sure there were no kinks in the line and removed it from the module, i noticed what appeared to be metal (flakes/shards) inside the module that looked like it was preventing flow to the caliper.

My question is: is this module rebuildable/repairable or do I just need to replace it? has anyone ever taken one of these apart before?

Thanks!

AFAIK there is some sort of ABS purge routine that can be commanded through the PCM but I think only with a Tech 2 so dealer or spend a few hundo on your own. I am unfamiliar with the process, the tool, and the module as I haven't fought/slain that dragon just yet. Have you tried just bleeding the crap out of it...so the crap might come out of it? Probably all wrong but that is what this idiot(I) would try.

If there is metal debris inside that would imply a failure.

I would buy another master and abs module. And purge all the lines before installing

This is likely the best advice. Is this a V-specific part?

I've heard you can cycle the abs by turning the key on and off a bunch of times but I haven't tried it.

Thank you all for your responses, I went ahead and ordered one.

^^ Can anyone answer this? I'm curious to know as well. I just ordered a replacement and it was labeled specifically for the V, but from what I've seen online the base/V modules look very similar, if not identical.

Seeing as how the brakes are substantially different than a base CTS, I would stick with this.

I haven't seen many if any failures of this part so we don't have any experience with it really.
