Default Headlight Options

My headlights look pretty weathered. I'm wanting to see if I can polish them and get some of the grime and burnt plastic off them but I would rather just but new headlights.

Ebay has some pretty good deals on headlights but I can only seem to find base model headlights withour HID/washer capabilities. Has anyone used these?

What have you guys done. My headlights are really bugging me.

My factory washer/hid ones were beyond repair. They were showing heat cracks, starting to yellow, and from the PO had a hunk of hot glue down by the marker light. So I opted to just buy the base OEM style ones and I just swapped over the lense and rerouted the washer hoses. I lost the washer feature, but maintained the HID's. Also gave me the opportunity to modify my projectors and paint the ugly gray bezel black

Kornfreak, a lot of your recent V questions are topics that have been discussed in depth both here on on CF. I know you're not new to forums, just sayin the info is out there.

U can try to wetsand them and spary clear on them depending on how bad their shot, mine were a lil yellow and had some a scratch look on them and i got tired of always haveing to hit them with a high speed buffer so I just did mine a few weeks ago and seem to be fine so far in this hott fl heat. I just used 1000 grit and then spayed a few coats of that rustoleum 2x clear and that was it, look brand new. I would post pics but im new to this site and dont know how yet

I can't remember, it was a while back. Dan Cordova is the mastermind.

I was going on vacation, so I sent my headlights to him to open up and modify.

He painted it body color on the inside, and the outside.

I bought a set of the CCFL halos from eBay (most are all the same brand; Eagle Eyes or something like that). They're just a halogen setup, so I also bought an HID conversion kit from TRS (The Retrofit Source). I had my bumper off to be repainted (stone chips were killin' me), so I took that chance to get the headlight work done. Easy peasy, man. You lose your headlight "washers", but those things are useless anyway. I just plugged the lines and zip tied them out of the way, never to be used again.

I painted that all black as well, I also painted my projector cutoffs blue for a cool affect.
