Do you have the Borla system installed, and you're looking for replacement mufflers? If so, have you contacted Borla?
Or are you just looking for Borla mufflers to fit on a V? In that case, they have universal mufflers; find the proper size and inlet/outlet configuration and you're good to go.

I actually tried to call Borla a few years to ask them to sell me just the borla muffler's out of the kit. No dice, they would not sell the mufflers alone. I went a different direct after that because i didn't want to weld in universal mufflers and not know what they would sound like until they were in.
Borla IMO is the best sounding V1 2.5in kit. Call them up, maybe they have changed their policy.
I've previously owed magnaflow, which had a more raw unrefined sound.

Well, I bought a couple of mandrel bent J-bends off summit along with a pair of Borla Pro XS and had them installed in my '05 V. Sounds deep and quiet and it sounds like there's a V8 somewhere under the hood now. There's some drone under 2000 rpm at low loads but not too bad. I already got used to it. The OEM mufflers are so quiet.

Well, to be honest, there might be a decent amount of drone. Like I said, I got used to it because I love how the car sounds overall. But then, that's very subjective. Point is, it can be done. I also called Borla to see if I could get the CTS-V S-type mufflers and they said no. That's the reason I went with Pro XS.

Muffler delete is cheaper. Seriously, none of the cat back mods help power unless you go all out and up the tube size or do cutouts really close to the cats. Our system is actually pretty good. Benefit is in headers and hiflow or no cats + tune. Stock catback changes are only for sound. This is pretty true in most of the late stuff with factory duals.

Well, I don't want to go the muffler delete way. I want my Cadillac to sound refined. I believe a car has a character and, to me , muffler delete does not match the Cadillac's character IMHO. It would sound great for a GTO or Camaro or even a Corvette though. Anyway, that's just my very personal opinion. I didn't do it for hp neither, although I'm sure there should be 3 or 4 horses there somewhere just by looking at and comparing stock vs the straight through design. I wanted the car to sound sportier and the Borlas definitely did their job. Im very happy with them. I'll record something if it ever stops raining here.
Just for the record, the car has LT headers with HF cats. Stock resonator and pipes are still in place. Other than that there's a modified K&N intake and a tune.

Here are my round Magnaflows. No drone, nice sound, and they are installed with clamps so I can go back to stock if needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vgtwmWodmuY

My preference would be long tubes, hiflow cats, and OEM catback like this guy.
I just got the Magnaflows because I was tired of waiting and the sound was desperately needed. I agree, the car needs a touch of sonic character but not sound dirty. Muffler delete sounds dirty to my ear. With the way I did it, I can go back and forth from the OEM to Magnaflows (round ones).

Borla Drone
Somewhere I believe that I read that the 2,000 RPM drone was due to vibrations in the spare tire well and trunk floor and that adding sound deadner mat to the well and trunk floor stopped the drone.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I originally wanted either the stainless works or borla catback for my car when I started my project.
I ended up modifying my own exhaust for speed bump clearance. Here in UAE they are more like small mountains.
I instead added in an H pipe, 1 3/4" long tubes with 400 cell cats and tune into stock mufflers with 3.5" resonated tips.
This is my end result. 92 db at 4000 rpm 5 meter back as per my decibel meter application. Well under the UAE limit of 98 db at 5 m. I'm about 2-3 M back in this video, so it does slightly over power the microphone until it adjusts.
As a side note oem manifolds with gutted cats and the same setup came in at 95 db.
If you are looking for a better sound, that still maintains the factory refinement, yet goes full animal at wot this setup may save a few bucks.
I'd still love to throw some borlas on my car, but international shipping sucks. Maybe I will after I recover from the new transmission shipping.
The link has a higher quality audio clip than when I upload it. I really need to get some fly by video clips of the car, as every time I hear my car driven by outside it sounds unbelievable vs how it sounds in my parking garage.
