Default 8.8 Swap

Ok so things happen faster than anticipated sometimes. My diff broke on Sat, I called CS today and ordering all the parts to do the conversion, but axles will take 3-4 weeks. Does anyone have the measurements for these axles. I need it from cup to cup where the CV bolts onto. If anyone can help really appreciate it. MAX at CS is going to ship all the parts tomorrow. I can get the axles made but need this measurement.
Thanks

I had my driver side axle out earlier this year, but didn't take any measurements, so I'm no help. Hopefully someone can chime in with the info you need.

IIRC there is an 8.8 kit in the FS section. You may contact the sellers and see if they will take a few measurements for you

Update. Kristi at Creative Steel busting some *** for me getting me hooked up. She shipped everything they had except for the axles and she got DSS to ship the axles in 1 day. I can't begin to say how awesome they are, most companies would not jump through hoops like this.

**Update**
Kristi at Creative Steel absolutely went above and beyond and got me hooked up. They shipped everything today and she got DSS to ship my axles in one day. I can't thank them enough, most shops would have never gone to this level to help. Huge Thank You to Creative Steel.

Glad you're getting your stuff. Not to nitpick, but sub-one day turnaround is not unusual--even for big companies with tens of thousands of orders per day like Summit Racing, McMaster-Carr, and Amazon.

Summit, McMaster-Carr and Amazon don't actually build anything so that's a poor comparison.

jesus, the company went and took the time to get this guy taken care of and low and behold somebody has and issue with it. ever heard of biting your tongue? i mean the post contributes nothing. 99% of companies would have just told you they are out of stock and would ship it when the stock arrives. they contacted the 3rd party vendor and had them ship direct. sure its not earth moving but it was very cool of them and saying **** like not trying to nitpick, or not trying to be racist, or sexist, or whatever then making a comment that is just that is about as useless as it gets.

enjoy your 8.8 OP, rant over.

CS doesn't build DSS axles so it's actually an excellent comparison.

that is true, but DSS said 4 weeks. Then they said the best they could do was a week but they take off a week for 4th of July so they would ship the week after. I think both companies went way beyond normal here.

DSS doesn't stock complete axles for our 8.8's unless a big sale is coming. Frank/Lee really busted a move assembling/shipping the product in a lightning fashion before their vacation, they deserve the credit. But I am glad we could help!

Went and drove the car tonight. No more noises and vibrations. It is all good now, now I don't have a achilles heel sitting in the back. Time to finally enjoy the car.
