Beginning to mod the 05 V.Corsa resonator delete.*VIDEO*
Nearly having this car for a week..1 thing was clear.I hated how quiet the car is even with a Corsa exhaust.I quickly stopped by my fav exhaust shop to start getting a better sound that the V deserves. So far deleting the resonator is a perfect step up for someone wanting a clean sound..with the odd pops now and then.I thought it would be much louder but at idle is got a deep tone.I did keep H pipe but I may end up going straightpipe and keep the Corsa tips 1 day.But for now..enjoy the video.

From all the videos Ive seen so far...headers are the biggest jump in making them sound good.Thats also long time from now before I do that.Next mod is cai,and then just have it tuned and see what power its making currently.
I also saw a thread here about guys using V2 longtube headers with 2" primaries..is this a new solid way to go.My plan would be to supercharge this car.I dont want a turbo on this ride vs my T/A.Blower whine is needed on this car.

Go get one of those smoke bombs from an auto detailer.. they seem to eat the smell right out..
And in my opinion it makes no sense to go put the car on the Dyno or have it tuned... And then later put headers on...because you'll want to get it tuned after the headers to utilize the power gains. 1-7/8 long tubes would be fine if youre gonna blow it.. unless you plan on a large displacement blower then I could see utilizing 2" primaries.

Im having the car fully detailed and buffed next week and that should clear it up for the lingering smell.I can get the odor bombs from my dealership but those things you need to let the car sit atleast 24hrs before opening the doors for a thorough job and i can do that just yet.
As for the longtube headers..i have no intentions of doing that this yr or early next yr.i want to dyno the car and see what its making currently and then tune it.My tuner would make short work of a stock car and it wont cost much at all while Im there.
if i do a blower lng from now it would be an lsa setup..even though they arent the best way to go for efficiency ..I like them for reliable bolton power for a fun daily.

Headers with the Corsas sound amazing. I'm running a mix of OBX(wish I went with Kooks) headers, magnaflow X-pipe, Corsa's and matte black angle cut rolled tips. WOT makes me smile every time

Good news is this exercise is purely subjective according to your taste. Only headers and cats help flow, catback is only changing noise unless you bump up the pipe diameter. Frankly, I thought it sounded good before and after so there is no wrong answer. Sometimes you have to just try it to know.

Yea I know the battery isn't that strong for cca but it starts up everytime..for now.I will get a better and bigger battery as the current one is a smaller size than recommended.
The car does sound better...not perfect to me just yet but I can hear the car now atleast.
