So I started getting the 8.8 ready to go together. A little back story on this dif, I bought it shortly after I got the car because of the weak difs these cars have. It's a 8.8 center section out of a 2011 Explorer I paid 60 bucks for has 3:73 rear gear factory ford traction lok and 31 spines axles all I needed was a Iron Lincoln or aluminium ford cobra case. Well after searching for months a mutual friend of the car group we hang out with said he had a cobra case lying around with new bearings seals and the rear case studed that he wanted to sell, so 120 bucks later I scored a cobra case. So far I am into a 8.8 for 180 bucks, the plan is to put new carbon clutch in the factory carrier and new side bearings.

Haven't done much to this lately so here is a small update. The catch can is mount, rockers are upgraded and a few other small odds and ends are done. I am possibly getting a set of dv8s 8.8 brackets for the rear then I can get the subframe back in the car and get it set on the ground. There isn't really much left to do on the car before I can start tuning it.
I changed the route of the fuel system a little, I was gonna do the dual dw300s but after realizing how much of a pain in the *** it is and would be very over kill for my car I will be running a single walbro with a aeromotive FPR and a ethanol content sensor in the return line.

Got the 8.8 all setup and together, just waiting on my brackets to get them powdercoated and mounted to the rear dif.
Pic of the DV8S brackets I picked up, man I can't wait to get them and get some powder on them.
The weather here is getting a lot better and I have ordered almost everything to finish the car aside from axles (not sure what I am gonna do about this yet) so there will be lots of updates soon.
Thanks for looking!

Slow update:
I am waiting on my front dif bushings as soon as those get here I will pretty much slam the gas tank and rear suspension back in the car. I got the DV8S brackets painted and on the dif. Not a huge fan of red but the rest of my suspension parts and bushings are red so I figured I would make it match.
