2016 6.2L LT1 into a V1?
New harness, new ecu? Anyone toy with this idea? Searching yield little results. Is this idea not really because LS swaps are easier to do and cheaper to come by?
Sadly, I may receive a free, running 2016 LT1 6.2L Corvette engine. I dunno what to do with it...I tried searching and could not find any threads about the potential swap. Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks to @jmilz28 - Engine mounts - Done
ECU/Wiring?
Electric Power steering? A. https://www.hotrod.com/articles/inst...eries-engines/
B. https://www.holley.com/products/acce...rts/parts/21-5
Fuel situation?
Will the transmission mate to the LT1 engine? Simply bellhousing swap or so I need a custom bellhousing?
Dave White via Automobileman contributions.
As long as I can use the stock drive shaft, the above entails what I foresee as the most work. (until I get more ideas or feedback)

That should be RELATIVELY easy. Easy part:

They have an adjustable one too.
I do not know what's involved on the trans, i.e. mating to the engine and trans mount.
An entire PCM and harness swap would get you running fine. Making the gauges work and talking to the various modules...no freaking idea.
I'd start here though: https://www.speartech.com/category_s/1836.htm
Speartech is not known to be the cheapest, but they are one of the best at conversions and the extra money will save you time and aggravation if you have the means.

I'm going to venture a guess and say it's more work than you realize but doable.
Preface all the below by saying I'm not sure, I'm just a hack.
LT1 is direct injection which requires different fuel pressures and flow, maybe a return.
Gonna require a new harness or lots of rework (my guess), not sure on the ECU. You've got a e67, not sure which one lt1 uses. Likely nothing compatible with your existing BCM and other sensors. So you're gonna lose features, gauges, etc.
Probably gotta rework the motor mounts/placement among many other things.
I have its baby brother, the l83 going into dad's 57. we've stalled for a while, but that's just a 'simple' swap. Yours is gonna be harder
If it's not your daily drive do it

Yup, D is right about the fuel. I don't know where that psi increase comes in so plan on the whole fuel system somehow. Speartech will know that too and buying a harness from them will get you a ton of needed info. http://www.speartech.com/category_s/1836.htm

Added most of our discussed points thus far into the first post to collate data.

Fuel System Details for LT1 Engine Swapa
Good article. Different in tank fuel pump and cam driven final high pressure booster pump as well (like most di engines).

Forgot to mention that you might want to talk to Vapor Worx and see if they have a suitable PWM controller.

And the mid 90's LT1 is a great motor for a S/C build with that iron block.
But compared with the new LT1? There is no comparison!

The most challenging part of adapting a modern LT-series engine is the accessory drive. There is no provision for a power steering pump since the Camaro and Corvette are EPS.
There are several companies that have new FEAD's but they are mostly for custom builds and spendy. Little if any of your OE parts would be re-sued.
