Default remove strut brace to remove engine cover?

Do I need to remove the strut brace in order to remove the engine cover?

I assume it just pops off? (the engine cover, not the strut brace).

Thanks!

Sod.

I’m gonna say it has to come off. I can’t imagine another reason I’ve had mine off but I have. Make sure it’s tight when you put it back.

No, you can just pop it up and slide it forward under the brace.

You can do it but it's fairly easy to scratch the cover or break the clips unless you pop off the STB. It's only four bolts.

Does the strut bar on this even do anything?

While it's not a critical piece, it is noticeable if removed.

Pretty sure it depends on the year. '04-05 have a lower bar and it needs to come off. '06-07 the bar is taller and the engine cover can be removed with it in place (though you'll likely drag it on the bar and put some scratches on the finish, I did)
