https://www.bbexhaust.com/exhaust/cadillac/cts-v/ comes up for me just fine.

So I have the 3” X-Pipe exhaust already and just ordered the smaller headers and catted connection pipes. My car is basically stock besides high flow cats, the cat back and hptuners with a mild adjustment.
What heat shielding stuff should I do while I’m in there? I figured plug wires and O2 sensor wires. What else? Starter? I don’t want to have to mess around later on. I’ll read more but if you could do it again or would do it with less budgetary concerns how would you do it right? What extras should be part of the ideal header installation?

Would you suggest using the gaskets and studs in this post?

or are the B&B (or AC Delco) gaskets good enough?

I used the AC Delco gaskets when I did my headers and then some Stage 8 bolts https://www.stage8.com/ when I did my install. The way I looked at it; if the AC Delco gaskets were good enough to ship from the factory then they would be fine for my application, didnt see the sense is spending tons of money on gaskets.

edit: don’t see any stud sets. 8900 looks like half the price of the arp studs on Amazon. I’m sold.

I wouldn't bother with studs unless you foresee pulling them off on a semi-regular basis. With studs, it gives you the option to pull headers to make other repairs easier - especially changing plugs that won't last 100k like the OEM ones. ARP bolts and GM gaskets seem like the ideal solution for most.

Headers got here this past week but with no gaskets or hardware. The ‘what’s in the box’ drawing on their website clearly has a parts list. I emailed them asking about it. No reply but I did get another UPS notification that a third box is headed my way, only 1 lb this time. I assume they just forgot to drop it in the box. Anyone know what gaskets they send? I’d be inclined to just use them as long as they are MLS like the factory ones. .

Ok well tomorrow is the day. Would anyone be interested in stock manifolds and cats as well as a pair of trubendz bolt-in high flows? I’m thinking I should save the shipping boxes for that stuff. It’s never going back on. I’ve been sitting on the stock cats for like 6 years.

Were they 1-3/4 or 1-7/8? I’m not convinced mines rubbing tbh. It (steering) felt a little weird the day before the install and was ok/inconsistent today driving home. I definitely could see daylight between them but I guess the rack probably shifts a little and so will the engine. Can’t do anything this week anyway so have time to look at a few things.

I have 1 7/8 and they rub since day one. Just went to solid motor mounts and its way worse. Used to vibrate every now and then. Now they straight up rest against the shaft. The steering is hard now.
