My 05, the latest build
Been on this group since 2012 and my car has gone thru some major overhauls over the years. The latest is probably the most drastic, little beyond full retard at this point.
Darton Sleeved LS3, 4.125 bore
Brodix STS 273 LS7 heads
CID LS7 intake
Holley 4500 throttle body
Holley EFI HP Ecu
Big obnoxious cam
Oh, and a 6 inch cowl hood to clear the CID intake.
I have a bunch more pics on my Instagram @427Cadillac if you want to see more of the build pics.
Starting last October I gutted the stock ECU, removed all the unnecessary wiring. Also decide to ditch the AC, doesn't get that hot in Ohio, and I prefer to have the windows down. I had some challenges, like how to make it start since so much stuff was tied into the factory ignition. So I opted for a doing a push button start and simple relay. I also converted from dbw to cable driven with the 4500 tb. Made a bracket to mount a Lokar pedal, this was probably the easiest part of the build. Next up was wiring up 3 relays to keep the high and low speed fan control since Holley had a high and low output. Took a few tries but have it working perfectly. The dash was a little project in itself. Gutted an old cluster and fiberglassed it in to make the Holley dash flush mount. To finish the surround I used black suede flock, made a hell of a mess but looks great. The cowl hood was a **** load of work, fitting, sanding, primer, paint and clear. It turned out good for my first time doing any major body work. Just wanted to share as I know many of you aren't on any of the fb groups, I'm not either.
Thanks,
Steve

Yes, made the hood myself. It was a scoop intended for a 67-68 Camaro. It actually fit better than expected, but still took a lot of work. No idea on numbers yet, just been tuning it myself with the Holley EFI. So far it drives great and pulls strong up to 7200rpm.

Damn bro. Excellent craftsmanship. Looks like a professionally built hood. When are you going to start making them for the rest of us. Let us know when you get it on the dyno.
