cool thread... it does put into perspective how much it does cost to mod a V2. shame they didnt make it a lsatt then you would be able to make that sort of power alot easier.

ColeGraham 09-07-2010 12:27 PM

damn...that is double to cost to mod a V1...

liqidvenom 09-07-2010 12:36 PM

this higher up in hp you go, the more it costs to do so reliably

this i know...haha...found that out when i started modding my V. but it has been worth all the money i have thrown at it. getting the "WTF, did that really just come for a Cadillac" looks for guys at spotlights when she opens up a little bit.

in what regards?

I find 500 bucks for an extra almost 100 bucks is a steal.

YOu can't get that on a v1

liqidvenom 09-07-2010 01:22 PM

i dont see anything dealing with spray on there.

I have no desire to do spray so it was never asked. Not many v2's run it. When/if I find out about it I'll add it to the list.

This list was just what I had found while I'm considering my mods. Silverado asked me to make a table and put it up here so he could show some friends some data. So it's by no means complete.

It would be nice if some shops chime in here and say we can do this for x or y or z etc so we can make the list longer.

I must have not been talked to? As my quotes are ALOT cheaper than all those..... oh well..

I did compare some of your prices from the other forum, perhaps you changed them.

If you would like to put together packages or anything and prices I'll be glad to update the list, and even put your name on the shop. (if silverado approves)

I don't want to get this into an "ugly" thread, it was just started so V2 owners can see there are lots of ways to go about getting hp.

The shops are known by myself and silverardo so if anyone wants to use them we will direct them to the right place.

We all know that certain shops charge more and others charge less.

Thanks and let me know.

Domsz06, this list is comprehensive, and on point. Talk about bang for the buck, that mail order option for 550 at the wheels looks like a deal for a guy like me whose not willing to start tearing into the motor (YET!).Which vendor is offering this? Again, you've put 2gether a helluva chart here.

It is very hard for me to post pricing, as we do so many different things to them. I just match what target the customer wants, and tell him what it takes to hit that exact goal.

Or labor rates are VERY good here.

An example is,

9.5 lower pulley install 400. Add a cam is just 250 more for install price. Add heads, is just 250 more. "if done at the same time" ect.. So it is very cheap depending on what you do at the same time.

There are tons of different routes to hit set horsepower levels and is usually up to the customer with our feedback on what is worth it or not..

Usually we dont do headers, as we just dont see valid gains worth the 2000 bucks.

We have done alot of 600-700 rwhp builds.

My route for power is more on the "Core" engine inprovement then adding boost to compliment.

For example. 650 RWHP. "tuned very mild to last a VERY long time"

Ported LSA heads. $1300
675lift springs titanium retainers $300
560 lift small cam with STOCK idle $250.
Full ported supercharger including throttle and snout $650.
9.55 lower pulley kit $950
Idler $50

understandable wait4me.

Like I said before this was just asked and was put together for a guide and to show people different ways to get there and what not.

Thanks for the pricing and you have been updated on the list.
