Default 09 V Sedan upgrade questions

I bought the stage 3 kit from Weapon-X for my wife's V. I went to get it all installed )cam, pulleys, headers, exhaust, etc, and the shop is telling me I need 1000cc injectors and a $3k intake manifold. I figure I should be around 700-750hp with the mods. My question is, do I need so.e crazy manifold? Do I even need to touch the fuel system at those levels? Thanks.

You will need injectors, and 1000cc sounds about right. If you ever plan to run E85, then something bigger than the 1000s will be needed also with some fuel pump upgrade as well.

What intake are they talking about? That sounds like BS. The intake manifold is the SC itself, so the only thing I can think of is a cold air intake...and no way one of those cost that much.

Thought it sounded like horseshit. 120# should work with E85. What pumps do I need?

He never actually showed me an intake. He said it had extra injector ports. I called bullshit

Get your car away from whoever that is! That is some horseshit!

Fuel system gives you some options. I chose to do a complete kit and went with the Squash system. It was around $1800 and came with all new everything, and was Ethanol compatible.

List of the ones I know of.
Squash
Fore
DSX auxillary kit
Boost a Pump

I have heard good things about the DSX kit, but it requires drilling a hole in the bottom corner of the gas tank and running another pump off of that spot. Then they use a special putty to put the fitting there for the fuel line. Im not a fan of that part.

Also...weapon X is good, but their prices are high on a lot of things. I get a lot of my stuff from Mike @ Presence Distribution because his prices are hard to beat.

What are your plans for cooling mods? You will need serious upgrades with 700+hp.

it sounds like he may be in bed with someone who can drill extra injector ports in a stock manifold

That's possible, but I have never seen any other CTSV utilize the 16 injector setup. Actually, its almost impossible to do that on the factory intake/SC. The way that the injector sits in the little opening, there is no room for another injector to be added.

After looking at the Stage 3 package from Weapon X...it comes with ID1050x injectors. You shouldn't need to purchase a different injector.
