Default LS NOOB from London LF advice.

In the new year sometime in the early spring I am going to looking for a gen 3 iron block 6.0L LS motor and 4L80 transmission package. I have been playing in the 3.8L v6 world since '03. I don't know, something about a turbo Grand Prix just doesn't impress me anymore.
I have been doing a lot of searching online and going through the reams of youtube videos, and I think I am ready to take the plunge. My goal is a streetable turbo (weather permitting) daily driver, that's in the neighbour hood of + or - 700 HP. My plan is to try and keep the cost down by reusing as much of the stock bottom end as I can. My first question is:

Can someone recommend a reputable shop that can spec the block and balance the rotating assembly? What is a ballpark cost for this service on the LS motor?
while the engine is apart what are the weak parts of the bottom end I should be replacing? from my readings the only real weakness is the connecting rods when in excess of 1000hp and the push rods. can someone clarify this for me? what are the preferred online stores I can source out bits and pieces.

Thanks guys

Just get a low mileage LY6 gen4 6.0 .You can get them for about $2000 . Just do a mild cam and springs . Ls9 cam and springs are cheap and work very well . That engine will make reliable 700whp all day long and not break a sweat .
