Lapping Day - Sunday, September 7th - Mosport DDT
On behalf of OMSC (Oshawa Motor Sport Club), I'd like to extend an invitation to a lapping day we're hosting at the Mosport Driver Development Track (DDT).
For those of you who don't already know, the DDT is a small, technical track, with a couple of long/semi-straight sections where you can generate a good amount of speed. Depending on your gearing, it's typically a lot of 2nd-3rd gear speeds (upwards of ~100 MPH ... yes, ~160 km/h in places! ). However, it's a fairly forgiving track, with grassy run-offs, and by nature of its name (Driver Development Track) it's a great track for a first-timer .
Cost will be $150 ($160 for non-OMSC members) if pre-registered & paid by Aug. 23rd. Thereafter, it'll be $175 ($185 for non-OMSC members) including walk-ins on the day of. Yes, it's more expensive than an Auto-X event, but you get TONS of track time!!
Passing WILL be allowed, but must be point-by, and only in designated zones.
We will have a few instructors on hand for any novices who need to be shown the line around the track. If there is enough interest, we "may" even put together a school.
This is the OMSC's final lapping day for the season, so come on out and help make it a success, and have some fun on the DDT!
Here is the registration form for the Lapping: http://www.omsc.ca/Assets/2008_LappingSept.pdf
If you'd like any more information, don't hesitate to ask .
Hope to see some of you out there!
Pete
