Heres My 87 Chevy Monte Carlo, I will post better pics,and ETs when the weather gets better. Glad I found this page, I posted this on the conversion page, they showed me no love because its not EFI.


-Stock LQ4 shortblock, Cadilac CTS oilpan
-Stock 317 heads milled .020, with new style 918 valve springs
-Comp Cams 222/232 .595/.575 lift 114LSA
-Victor Jr, with Speed Demon 750
-Camaro Pacesetter 1 3/4 offroad headers, 2 1/2 exhaust thru Flowmaster super
44 muflers.
-TH-350 with 10 inch Atlantic Coast Converter
-Grand National 8.5 rearend, Eaton Unit with 3.73 Gears

77 Coupe Deville, full interior, column shifter, street driven
2003 LQ4 - 110k junkyard motor with original rings n bearings w/ARP rod bolts
243 heads - unported - w/ good springs
GMPP Cathedral intake
Holley 1000HP carb
Crane cam
1 3/4-1 7/8 stepped headers
Dynatech mufflers
T400 w/ 3800 stall
HR Parts n Stuff Insane series rear suspension w/ antirool bar
4.10 gears - used
T/A girdle
28x10 Hoosiers

Best pass with this combo is 11.53 @ 116

Sold the motor and building a new(another junkyard 6.0 with 397,000 miles) one with LS3 heads/ Victor Jr intake/ and cam.

Default my carbed ls1 ride

This is a father son project that me and my dad started about a year ago and just recently completed. We enjoyed every hour we spend together working on the truck but we sure enjoy racing it a lot better

1993 s10
Lq4 6.0L- Stock with a v2 camshaft

Best times so far:
On Motor: 6.86 in 1/8th with 1.45 60ft

100hp shot: 6.43 in 1/8th with 1.34 60ft

87 Grand National 2003 LQ9 6.0 with stock 317 heads Pacesetter longtubes 3 inch X and dumps, Edelbrock dual plane with Holley 670 Street Avenger, cold air kit and a 4L60. Runs 12.3 @ about 109

I've had 4 or 5 carbed ls cars and I never take pictures
Till this car 2000 z28 408ci, stock L92 heads, Th350 w/brake and Coan 4000 converter 9" 3.90 gears. 10.80's N/A 9.63 on the plate and 9.40's on the fogger setup. After this I upgraded to a 441lsx combo then sold it. New project is a carbed 454lsx in a Third Gen

2009 4.8
6012 box, Holley 750 VS, 70 primary jet, 50cc acc pump, Vic Jr till RPM gets here, Schonefeld headers, stock acc drive with stock 94 alternator in the newer bracket.

2002 4L60 trans, FAST/TCI trans controller, stock converter, this thing works like a dream.

Stock rear till the limited slip diff goes in.

1986 s10 stochk 5.3 7.51 1/8 at 95 mp build a 5.3 bored to fit ls1 pistons hand ported 5.3 heads 611 lift cam and 150 shot of nitrous should be a little faster when done

Holley 850dp E85 built by Eric at Horsepower Innovations
243 (LS6) heads
TH350 and 3600rpm stall built by Redneck Performance
UMI SFCs and LCAs

No track times yet (closest track is 3 hours away) and no horsepower numbers (made 379whp before the swap on a crap canned tune). Just by the feel of things from the ol butt dyno, I'm confident both hp and especially torque have gone up.
