Default putting 5.3 in a Malibu

Hello all,

Im new to this board although I've been lurking for a while but I finally found a name that wasnt taken.

I plan on doing 2 lsx swaps I have 2 malibu's one street-strip & one daily driver that already has a TPI setup

my first swap I will be taking out my 383 sbc & putting in a carbed 5.3 & using my fogger from the old engine & a TH350 this will be my learning engine

my second swap on the DD will be a bone stock efi swap for mileage & reliability

If all goes well during the winter I will tear down the street strip engine "Forge" the bottom end
& go the turbo/blow-thru route using truck manifolds

Wow, that will be an interesting swap. Going from a low end torque monster to a deep breathing spinner. I can't wait to see what you think of the difference.

well, If my car was an automatic I'd turbo it in a heartbeat. I think you'll do well with blowthrough, truck manifold setup
what size turbo you lookin at? I would go 70mm minimum on the 5.3, and 76 on a 6.0. JMO.
