Default Hp estimate?

Hello i am new around this web site. I would like to see if yall could guess how much hp i am getting. I have a 88,xxx mile LQ4 with a s&d HTC 1 cam Has 214/218 559/562 lift 111 LSA and edelbrock duel plain intake, street avendger 670 carb, msd 6010, with duel 2 1/4 pipes and flowmaster 40s. Has factory maniflods cause have not found any headers that will fit my truck yet. With a 750 cfm carb and the gm hot cam and long tubes same motor made 480 at the crank. Just wondeing how much i have or close to how much i have. The headers in the pic did not fit my truck.

I figure 370ish to the back tires if everything was line out right and it had headers, but 350 is probably around where it is to the ground and 400 TQ.

About how much is lost from flywheel to the ground? It is a 4wd truck if that matters. Need to find some headers that fit 73-87 4x4 chevys.

Do some research on your setup as far as parasitic drive train loss depending what your setup is. IE- a turbo 350 w/ t-case or 400 or 700r4. also has to do with what rear you have as well. Lets say you made 480hp at the crank and had 15% loss through the drive train it would theoretically put you at 408 at the wheels. the only way to know absolutely for sure would be to dyno the motor before and after its in the truck and then calculate your % of loss.

Headers- if you have access to a welder or a brazing torch make your own. im making a set of fenderwell headers for my s10 because no one makes a header im satisfied with or is way too expensive. its not as hard as you might think

Would like to make my own but i dont have a garage or know how to weld. The only set avalible that will fit is 600 a set for mid lengths. Way to much. Tryed fbody long tubes cause they fit a 2 wd truck but not my 4x4.

Call BRP Hotrod conversion. They offer a 13/4 mids, ceramic coated for 499. They are good people to talk to. I just installed a set of lt in my 98 s10. only had to trim the trans on the drivers side, slite adjustment with a hammer on the passenger side floor. All for $669 ceramic coated, IMO worth every dime. These headers are the finest set thst I'v every bought!! I priced custom built headers at anywhere from $1200 to $1500 uncoated. Hope this helps, good luck!!!

I have talked to a guy there befor and he says the mid lengths may fit. He also said he had a set out to a 4x4 burb for test fitting and he would let me know. That was over 8 weeks ago. Have emailed them and they said no they dont have any. Ben meaning to call them back but dont have the 500 bucks yet. So have not. Thanks for reminding me tho.

So it has been a while and i have found doug thorly or who ever makes headers now for my truck. How much hp should i gain swaping truck maniflods and a 2 1/4 pipe duel exhaust to a 2.5 or 3 duel exhaust and 1 7/8 try y style headers? I have to add the driver side pipe is about 2 inch with many bends out of the collector.

I had the guys at Sanderson build me a set of zoomies for my LS=1 t-bucket,just gave them a few simple measurements & they were done in a few days. Ceramic coated for about $800.00 as I recall.
