383ls 425 rwhp but olny 365 lb/ft

Default 383ls 425 rwhp but olny 365 lb/ft

It has a 383 on. A fox
The combo is
Ms3 cam
750 holley whit 74 pri 84 sec
Afr 225

The same motor Efi made 424hp/395lb
do any one know why the lost of torque ????
Is because of the carburetor? ?

Run. 12:02 at 3000 ft

What intake? What LSA on the cam? Have you verified your air fuel ratio is correct? How are controlling your timing and what is it set at?

If you went from say, a truck intake EFI, to a Vic jr, torque will drop I'm sure, allot of factors there.

113 lsa....i know i shold use 110 or.108
th400 converter 3600 stall
The motor previous Sas on a manual camaro
Afr is 11:8 - 12:5
the timming .....im. using# 6 ship on msd that is line 36°at 4000 rpm so on

I was using a fast 90/90 when efi.......

Mmmm so it may be the intake.....
there is some think better than vc junior

It's a mix of the cam and the single plane. A dual plane intake would gain back the lost torque at the cost of top end power. A tighter LSA would gain back most of the torque and likely a tad more horsepower.
