Default What engine assembly manual

I'v got my engine @ the machine shop getting the crank turned & don't have an assembly manual , I'v never done an LS before, any thought on a decent one?

Man, i thought engines are all the same, once you have done one you have done all, with exception to different torque specs.

The LS just needs specific cover installation and the rear cap faces the other way or it will lock the engine and not even turn over, otherwise, it is a small block with a few more bolts in the mains.

Default SA147 How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines.

There are many specific steps in rebuilding an LS engine that differ from the traditional SBC engines. I used a book by Chris Werner: How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines, item SA147. There are probably others but I would definitely get one for your rebuild.

I cannot think of any, just a few more bolts and different spec, but i have built allot of different engines and they all are a general same concept, bolts and metal pieces going together.

Hey Fox, good call on that manual! Got it today & definitely looks good, especially for the $$. Less than 20 bucks online. Thanks.
