goodies i need for a 5.7

just picked up a 5.7 out of a 4th gen last night. stock bottom end, 230/233 594/588 custom cam, ported polished and milled 243 heads. car ran 7.3's with the fast in take with fuel injection and a 3600 stall. i see alot of you guys are running a vic jr. is that sufficent? i was thinkin go with the super vic to leave some room so i can slap some heads on her next season. or will that be too much intake? i also notived most of you guys run the msd ignition module. is the edlebrock one no good? which is better? and finally is my 4500 stall going to be way to much? lol. thanks in advance for your help. i cant wait to get started!

I believe the Edelbrock ignition controller does NOT allow you to tune it with a lap top. MSD is far better and comes with the Pro Data software.

4500 converter sounds good to me man. That's what I have.

thats good to know about the controller, also i assume that has some type of rev limiter control? im going to stick with the 4500 stall converter, and the 5.14's unless it becomes too much for the street, but i loved those gears with my 331 lots of fun stop sign to stop sign. what about the intake, super vic, or vic jr???

header prices are killing me! cant find any used! what size headers do you think can get away with too!???

Im a hooker header kinda guy, my 1 3/4" hooker long tubes havent steered me wrong yet and ive been using them for years now

1-3/4's are fairly priced. stock cubes shouldnt need anymore than that. even thats prob over kill. i bet 1-3/4 would still do great with a large cube motor

Go with the Victor Jr intake, 1 7/8 headers, and dump the 5.14 gears. You shouldn't need to go any lower than 4.11's.

I have 4.30s, I would never go lower than that.

I got 2" headers, found em cheap, keep lookin. the MSD is great and yes it has a rev limiter. also comes with 6 pills with variable tunes to get you started. They even have the ability to hook up a MAP sensor for better tuning.
